Some facts about the circular trail
The biodiversity trail on the topic of ‘Biodiversity – Diversity in Nature’ starts at the orchard just opposite our hotel. The entire trail is well signposted and leads through the forest, over bridges, past the rose hill and the BioGut and to the orchard with the sheep and chickens. The round trip takes about 45 minutes (walking time only). You can extend the time individually depending on your personal abilities. Explore the diversity around the RETTER Bio-Natur-Resort and relax on loungers, swings and benches in the orchard and forest.

E-Bike or E-Cabrio?
Whether by bike or cabriolet, the target is the most romantic castle in Styria: the Herberstein Garden Castle. Ask at the reception and rent your bike or cabriolet for a day.
Our recommended tour: From Pöllau Castle to Herberstein Castle. Did you know that Eastern Styria is the region with the highest number of castles in Austria? The reason: At the end of the 12th century began the construction of a belt of castles as a defence against incursions from the east. In the 21st century the “Castle Road” connects castles and palaces that are much more than just dots on a map. They are witnesses to an eventful history. Explore meanfull places.
